Description: HG_ Realtime Team members of Taura Laboratory present their research results at Symposium on Advanced Computing Systems and Infrastructures (SACSIS 2006). SACSIS, the Annual Symposium on Advanced Computing Systems and Infrastructures, is a symposium for discussing advanced computing systems, infrastructures, and technologies for enabling them from wide and various viewpoints. It covers both technologies on "systems" and technologies on "infrastructures." Yoshikazu Kamoshida presented the advanced realtime recognition system of HG_Realtime Team.

Period: 2006.5.22 (Mon) - 5.24 (Wed)
Conference Code: SACSIS 2006

Time: 15:45-16:15
Speaker: Yoshikazu Kamoshida

Abstract:
We developed a latency tolerant message passing programming library utilizing idle, redundant processor resources. The library has similar API to MPI, so MPI programmers can easily add the functions such as duplication of computations and dynamic process migration easily to their program. We applied our library to a parallel real-time motion recognition system and succeeded to achieve low-latency real-time motion recognition under unsettled shared cluster environment.
